Hosea 6:4-11

⁴ What shall I do with you, ^(A)O ^(B)Ephraim?
    What shall I do with you, O ^(C)Judah?
Your love is ^(D)like a morning cloud,
    ^(E)like the dew that goes early away.
⁵ Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets;
    I have slain them ^(F)by the words of my mouth,
    and my judgment goes forth as the light.
⁶ For ^(G)I desire steadfast love^[a] and not sacrifice,
    ^(H)the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.

⁷ But ^(I)like Adam they ^(J)transgressed the covenant;
    ^(K)there they dealt faithlessly with me.
^8 (L)Gilead is a city of evildoers,
    ^(M)tracked with blood.
⁹ As robbers ^(N)lie in wait for a man,
    so the priests band together;
they murder on the way to ^(O)Shechem;
    they commit villainy.
¹⁰ In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing;
    ^(P)Ephraim's whoredom is there; ^(Q)Israel is defiled.

¹¹ For you also, O ^(R)Judah, ^(S)a harvest is appointed.

When ^(T)I restore the fortunes of my people,
